Attention, couples!
This video is for women to enjoy. How do I know that? There's no
sex for at least the first 10 minutes. Women need seduction,
foreplay...a little warming up, and Candida Royalle, who
directed this, is the all time queen of erotica that pleases
both women and men.
There's lots of hugging,
talking kissing, holding even. The emphasis isn't on lots of
shots of penis and vagina goings on...but on the people attached
to them. Special emphasis is placed on women's orgasms, and not
the run of the mill money shot at the end of each scene.
There is also an attempt at
real character development. OK, this isn't going to win an Oscar
for best script or acting, but in the world of porn, this (and
most of Royalle's other efforts) is quite a few cuts above the
ordinary.
The story is built around a
four females in a family, all with distinct personalities, and
sexual appetites. Our treat is in discovering those appetites
and watching them unfold. There's the sensitive pianist with a
secret side, the youthful inexperienced daughter (eager to
learn), and the older (much) more experienced daughter who is
about to make one of the most important decisions of her life.
As much story as there is here,
and that's much more than in most porn videos, it's still the
sex that's important. The difference here is in how it is
presented, and what is emphasized. You'll still find sex, and
lots of it.
This video ventures out of porn and into erotica. If you're
looking for wild, perverse sex, this might not be for you. It is
nearly raw enough for men, and more than enough real passion for
women. It's a winner.

The premise in this excellent
"couples" release is one that most viewers can relate to--how to
keep the excitement going in a relationship long after the
initial sparks have died out? That's what's happened to live-ins
Jennifer and Robert, but both have further lost the ability to
relate to one another sexually on any level. Now each one spends
secret moments surfing the net, chatting with potential lovers
but still too nervous about actually meeting anyone. What's
great about "Angel Eyes" is that it offers a solution to this
"boredom in the bedroom" dilemma, and the erotic journey to that
solution is indeed steamy stuff.
We witness some undeniably erotic encounters that manage to turn
up the heat because of our intense interest with the
characters. For example, when we see Jennifer masturbate
frantically while talking to her dream lover on-line, it's a lot
more enticing than some run-of-the-mill solo number. We have
already come to like and to be attracted to this
woman. Similarly, Robert's fantasy tryst with Jennifer's
alluring, uninhibited gal pal is especially hot because we only
learn that it's a fantasy after the fact. The mere thought that
Robert is breaking the cheating taboo makes the scene even
sexier.
I can't give away the surprise ending...other than to say that
Jennifer does indeed find the man of her dreams, or "housewife's
helper" as her girlfriend would say. However, I will tell you
that the best sexual number is saved for last. Furthermore, this
was one of the rare occasions in which I didn't guess the
denouement way beforehand. Blame it on a clever script, and my
rapt attention to those bodies onscreen.

In the Garden of Shadows overflows with camera tricks, stellar
editing, and haunting imagery. The plot centers on a young girl
(played by the gorgeous new comer, Anais) who finds an old
diary, dated April, 1861. It's a ghostly book of a fallen angel,
and she herself becomes the angel who was cast out of heaven.
From there, Ninn mixes past and future into a fluid, magic
present of astonishing sex.
In the Garden of Shadows has been nominated for: Best Video

Music.
This is a highly erotic, very beautiful movie. Good for couples.

Faith,
honor, charity, virtue, goodness, honesty, chastity, justice,
ethics, morality, innocence... all pale compared to vengeance.
It is always easy to start a
review of a Wicked DVD by commenting on the quality of the
picture and sound. There aren't many companies who put out such
consistently good DVDs so it's a treat to start out with
something good to say. As for the movie, it's a Michael Zen
project with Serenity and Jewel De'Nyle as the stars. Count that
as another huge plus. It's a period piece, heavy on story so
couples will want to pay close attention. Raincoaters may want
to go ahead and leave the room, but there are a couple of
Serenity facials for those who choose to stick around. ...
... Make no mistake, this is a
couples movie and it's a really good one. If you're looking for
a pure jerkoff DVD, you may want to look somewhere else. This
movie has nice costumes, beautifully shot action and a plot that
is well written and tightly knit. Some of the editing makes the
scenes a bit less strokeable, but it's impossible not to be
impressed by how nicely cut these things are. Serenity caries
most of the sexual weight here, taking a couple of loads on her
pretty face. Kylie does a nice job as well. The sex is shot for
couples, with a lot of pretty longer shots and painfully short
blowjobs. As a couples movie, Vengeance is just about perfect,
as a DVD, it's nothing short of outstanding.
